The SAT is a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States. It is administered by a company called CollegeBoard and is offered various times throughout the year. The SAT consists of 5 sections: Reading, Writing, Math (No Calculator), Math (Calculator), and Essay (Optional). Below are some useful links and facts about the SAT.

The biggest thing to know about the two tests is that content wise they are very, very similar. The biggest differences between the two can be summarized as differences in structure and focus.
1. The SAT mixes science questions into its sections. The ACT has a science section.
2. The SAT is less time intensive. The ACT is more time intensive.
1. The SAT covers a smaller variety of topics, but covers each one more in depth.
2. The ACT covers a wider variety of topics, but doesn’t explore each one fully. .
